He was born on April 20, 1954, in Nassau, Bahamas, and died on November 9, 2014, in New York City. Myles Munroe, OBE, was a Bahamian evangelist and ordained minister, an avid professor of God’s Kingdom, an author, a speaker, and a leadership consultant who founded and led the Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) and Myles Munroe International (MMI) (MMI). As CEO and chairman of the board of the International Third World Leaders Association, as well as president of the International Leadership Training Institute, he has authored a number of publications and served as an advisor to several government agencies. Munroe and his wife died in a plane tragedy on November 9, 2014, when their jet crashed. Officials in the Bahamas have said that their aircraft collided with a crane at a ship yard near Grand Bahama International Airport. Munroe and the other passenger were on their way to Grand Bahama for a business conference when the accident occurred.
