In the New Strong’s Expanded Dictionary of Bible Words, the word pistis is defined as “belief with the predominating idea of trust (or confidence), whether in God or in Christ, which springs from faith in the same.” Trust, confidence, assurance, and belief are all terms used to describe faith.”
