TOPIC: Increasing Your Faith

TEXT: (Romans 12:3),  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith

MESSAGE: Rhapsody Of Realities Devotional | April 22nd 2022 — Increasing Your Faith

The first step to increasing your faith is knowing how faith comes: Faith comes by hearing: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Therefore, if you’re going to have more faith, you have to hear more of God’s Word. You can’t be listening to negative things that produce fear and expect your faith to increase; that’ll only build more fear in you.

Inundate your spirit with the Word. Some people face certain challenges and are overwhelmed because they’re operating at a level of faith that’s too low to deal with the situation. Yet, it’s possible to have a lot of faith that’s weak. Weak faith is the result of the lack of exercise of faith.

So, hearing God’s Word is one thing, but until you act on the Word you’ve received, your faith will be weak and you’ll stagger when you face adversities.

So, grow your faith strong through the exercise of your faith. Strong faith is prevailing faith; it doesn’t stagger: “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God”(Romans 4:18-20).

A rapacious appetite for the Word of God will of necessity bolster faith in you to tame circumstances, keep Satan where he belongs, and cause you to live triumphantly every day. But you must keep exercising your faith to keep it strong.

CONFESSION

The Word of God in me programmes me to be an absolute success in life; it propels, empowers, inspires, uplifts, motivates and gives me clarity of purpose. Thank you Lord, for guiding me into all truth, teaching me to make the right choices and decisions that are consistent with your perfect will for me. My life is regulated and propelled by the Word; therefore, I’ll always win. Hallelujah!

Colossians 3:16 (KJV)

2 Corinthians 8:7 – Now as you abound and excel and are at the front in everything—in faith, in expressing yourselves, in knowledge, in all zeal, and in your love for us—[see to it that you come to the front now and] abound and excel in this gracious work [of almsgiving] also.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 – We ought and indeed are obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds.

Romans 10:17 AMPC – So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

Say This Prayer

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank You for saving me!

In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
