READ: Esther 4:10-17

  1. Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;
  2. All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
  3. And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words.
  4. Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
  5. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
  6. Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
  7. Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
  8. So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Luke 12:1-59 , 1 Samuel 1-3

Esther was a Jewish slave girl captured and brought with others to King Ahasuerus’ kingdom. Through God’s favour, she was selected as one of the candidates for queen, when the position became vacant. Esther won the contest but years later, persecution arose against Gods people who were still slaves in the land. Initially, she was silent and on the verge of losing her people, but her uncle Mordecai reminded her that God had most probably made her queen to save the lives of the Jews.

God blesses, promotes and gives His children certain privileges for different reasons. He has blessed you in one or more areas of life such as: spiritually, materially, intellectually, financially et cetera, so that you can be a blessing to your generation. Never for once think that what you have is solely for your benefit or that of your immediate family. You were blessed by God for a purpose, so I urge you to ask Him: “Lord, what is Your purpose or expectation for blessing me with (mention the particular blessing or gift)? The answer will help you live a purpose-driven life.

Ask God to reveal His purpose for blessing you and help you to fulfil it to His glory.

HYMN: There Shall Be Showers Of Blessing

  1. “There shall be showers of blessing:”
    This is the promise of love;
    There shall be seasons refreshing,
    Sent from the Saviour above.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

  1. “There shall be showers of
    Precious reviving again;
    Over the hills and the valleys,
    Sound of abundance of rain.
  2. “There shall be showers of blessing;”
    Send them upon us, Oh Lord;
    Grant to us now a refreshing,
    Come and now honour Thy Word.
  3. “There shall be showers of blessing:”
    Oh, that today they might fall,
    Now as to God we’re confessing,
    Now as on Jesus we call!
  4. “There shall be showers of blessing,”
    If we but trust and obey;
    There shall be seasons refreshing,
    If we let God have His way.

Prayer Of Salvation

Thank you for reading Devotional Here Today On Kingdom Sermons, You are encouraged to please give your life to the LORD JESUS CHRIST if you have not done that before.

Say This Prayer

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised.
