TOPIC: The Persecuted

MEMORISE: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10

READ: 1 Peter 4:12-14
[12] Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
[13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
[14] If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part, he is evil spoken of, but on your part, he is glorified.

Message For Today Open Heaven for Teens Devotional – Tuesday 11th January 2022 | The Persecuted

I know God may have been giving you hints as to His purpose for your life. You may have been having dreams like Joseph did, about the glorious future God has in store for you. I want to let you know that your lifestyle now is what will determine if those dreams will come to pass or not.

Joseph saw his future and remained steadfast in holiness, even though he faced very tough situations. In the end, he achieved his dreams. Eli on the other hand was also promised by God that he and his children would be priests forever, but because Eli honored his children above God, the Lord appointed Samuel in his stead. I don’t want you to lose that glorious future God has in store for you and that’s why I am imploring you today to remain holy. Honour God with all that you have and all that you are. Obey all His instructions and do His will at all times. Runaway from every appearance of sin.

The devil will bring temptations, but you must overcome them because if you fall, God will raise someone else to fulfill your dream. May God help you to overcome in Jesus’name.

ACTION POINT: Pray that strength and grace be released to all the Christians passing through persecution in the world today

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Matthew 9:18-38; Genesis 27-28
