MESSAGE: MFM Daily Devotional | 30th June 2022 —  The Tragedy of Counterfeit Salvation

Salvation became necessary for man as a result of the grievous problem of voluntary act of disobedience in the Garden of Eden by Adam. The Bible declares in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” As a result of the fall of man, satan took over the nature of every sinner, hence the need for salvation.

Beloved, salvation simply means redemption of the totality of man from the power of sin through the blood of Jesus. That is the only reason why Jesus came and died on the cross. The shedding of his precious blood is the only atoning sacrifice that dispenses salvation to every humble and believing soul.

However, from what we have seen around, many Christians seem not to understand what salvation entails. True salvation has to do with consistent victory over satan, sin and self through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. It has to do with living in holiness and daily striving to conform to the image of Christ.

Unfortunately, there are many people who claim to have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, yet nothing has changed a bit about them. They are still worldly, carnal and still maintaining their sinful lifestyles without any contrition. The devil is giving them false hope of salvation. Such people have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5)

They also profess to know God but in works, they deny him (Titus 1:16). People like that are only carrying counterfeit salvation about. Is your own salvation genuine? Beloved, counterfeit salvation is more dangerous than no salvation because the person will never be identified in heaven as Christ’s own and will be seen as a traitor to the kingdom of darkness. When darkness fights him, heaven will not be able to rescue him.

The tragedy of counterfeit salvation is that it will deny one of God’s presence, glory, peace, protection, favour and mercy. It will ultimately lead to eternal perdition in hell fire. Therefore examine your life on a daily basis and work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

Salvation was paid for with the precious blood of Jesus. Don’t lose your own.

Powers assigned to return you to Egypt shall die, in the name of Jesus.

1. O God my Father, if I am on my way to hell fire, rescue me by Your mercy, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father Lord, uphold me to the end, in the name of Jesus.
3. Power of my father’s house taking me back to Egypt, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.

4. Power to start well, grace to finish well, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God, give me oil in my lamp and keep it burning, in the name of Jesus.
6. My Father, my Father, open my eyes to see Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God my Father, help me not to end my journey in hell fire, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Of Salvation

Say This Prayer

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart
