1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

MESSAGE: MFM Daily Devotional | 25th July 2022 — Uprooting Evil Seeds (II)

Today, we shall be looking at the implications of the parables we read about in the book of Matthew 13:24-32. What we see manifesting in many lives today is the result of the seeds planted a long time ago. While the evil seeds planted in some lives have grown into big forces, others are just sprouting into small plants, and in some other people’s lives, the seed is yet to germinate.

It is easier to destroy a seed than to uproot a fully grown tree. If the wrong seeds that have started to grow in your life are still at the germination stage, you will do well to begin to uproot them immediately before they grow into trees.

In the first parable, we saw the result of both good and bad seeds. The position of Christians can be likened to those types of seeds growing in the sower’s field. At the time of harvest, the Lord will separate the faithful ones from the counterfeit. The faithful ones are the good seeds taken into the sower’s barn, which signifies the Kingdom of heaven while the counterfeit signifies the evil seeds, which will be burned off in hell fire.

The second parable talks about the mustard seed which, when it is grown, becomes the greatest amongst trees. It becomes a big tree and its branches act as shelter for the birds of the air. That is to say that a single person filled with the Holy Ghost can convert thousands of people.

This signifies that the word of God in the heart of man is considered a seed. So, as God sows seeds in the heart of men for their benefit and to make them candidates of heaven, the devil also sows seeds in the heart of men to make them candidates of hell fire. Refuse to allow evil seeds to grow in your heart.

Whatever you sow, you will reap.

  1. Every evil seed growing in my life, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. My heart, reject every evil plantation, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Holy Spirit, take absolute control of my heart, in the name of Jesus.

  1. O Lord, make my life a fertile ground for good seeds, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Every evil power coming against my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.
  3. You tree of failure in my family line, my life is not for you, die, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Every evil tree planted against my freedom, die, in the name of Jesus.

Say This Prayer

Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). (Rom. 10:9). I believe with my heart
