MESSAGE: MFM Daily Devotional – 13th January 2022 | Reward of Faith (1)

Faith is demonstrating courageous trust in God. It is indispensable in the journey of every believer. The Bible affirms that no one can please God or get the best from Him without faith. It is not the belief that God will do what you want but that God will do what is right. Faith is commended and rewarded in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Hebrews 11 is devoted to acknowledging God’s heroes of faith. God rewards faith. Let us examine some of the rewards of faith:

MFM Daily Devotional 13th January 2022

The first reward faith gives you is access to God. Romans 5:2 affirms this, “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God ”Ephesians 3:11-12 also underscores it, “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.” Faith is the key that opens the door to God’s presence.
Without faith we cannot please God nor walk with Him. Faith provides the new and living way. It enables you to go to the throne of grace with confidence and to receive mercy
grace and help from God. Therefore, I encourage you to make your faith active, grow
and productive.

The second reward of faith for a believer is God’s love. When you believe in Jesus Christ
and make Him your Lord and Saviour, you will become an object of God’s unfeigned,
unconditional, perfect and everlasting love. In John 16:27, Jesus said, “For the Father
himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from
God.” One of the benefits of God’s love for the believer is sonship.

The Bible says, “What manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God” (1 John 3:1). Faith makes you a son or daughter of God, and that status gives you access to all the privileges and blessings of the Kingdom of God.

I encourage you to increase and strengthen your faith this year. Also make it highly
productive, and all its benefits will manifest in your life. You will be a bigger bundle of
testimony this year, in Jesus’ name.

1. I step higher in faith and drive fear out of my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, give me thee grace to believe you when it is beyond the poweer of reason, in
the name of Jesus.
3. Father, bless me with the manifold blessings of sonship, in the name of Jesus.

4. My Father and my God, give me the faith that will increase my intimacy with You, in
the name of Jesus.
5. Father, give me increased faith and passion to win lost souls, in the name of Jesus.
6. O Lord, fill me with extraordinary faith and make me Your battle axe, in the name of
7. Father, let my faith be accounted as righteousness before You, in the name of Jesus.
