MEMORISE: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1 Timothy 2:1
READ: 1 TIMOTHY 2:1-4
1. I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Leaders of any group are very important because any decision they take would affect their followers positively or negatively, therefore, it is necessary to pray for them.
You need to pray for both the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of your political leaders so that they would have the interest of the people they lead at heart. Pray for their advisers so that they do not give them wrong counsel.
You also need to pray about their character and thought patterns. Ecclesiastes 10:16 says: “Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!”

Pray for the leaders at different spheres of your country such as Ministers and Directors. It is also very important to pray for leaders of industries so that God can give them innovative ideas that will keep the economy running and conducive for an average family.
Don’t just pray for the political leaders, pray also for the spiritual ones. Pray that God should open their eyes and ears so that they can constantly hear from God and make the right decisions at all times.
